Muhtesem Yuzyil Episode 1

The first episode of Muhteşem Yüzyıl (Magnificent Century) introduces the dual plotlines of Sultan Süleyman’s ascension to the throne and the capture of Alexandra (later Hürrem), a Ruthenian slave girl who is brought to the imperial harem in Istanbul The episode features these key events: The Accession: While hunting in 1520, 26-year-old Süleyman receives news that his father, Sultan Selim I, has died. He immediately travels to Topkapı Palace in Constantinople with his closest friend, Pargalı İbrahim, to claim the Ottoman throne.
