Cirkin Episode 1

In Episode 1 of the Turkish drama Çirkin, orphaned at age 10, Meryem is raised by her late mother's best friend, Cennet, in Istanbul. Cennet, a domineering woman, fears her son Kadir will fall for Meryem, so she chops off Meryem's long hair and gives her a boyish cut. This leads Kadir to nickname her "Çirkin" (Ugly).
