Overview
Esaret is a dramatic Turkish series about revenge, captivity, and the painful road toward redemption. Orhun is a wealthy businessman raised in a cold family, deeply attached to his twin sister Nihan, who works as a volunteer doctor in Eritrea. When Nihan disappears and is later found murdered, Orhun’s grief turns into rage. His search leads him to Hira, a young woman trapped by traffickers, and when he believes she is responsible for Nihan’s death, he decides to punish her through a forced marriage. But the truth is more complicated than revenge allows. As Orhun and Hira are bound together by pain, pride, and injustice, Esaret explores whether love can grow from cruelty and whether forgiveness can free them both.
