Overview
Donence is a heartfelt Turkish family drama about sacrifice, personal growth, and the difficult choices that come with love. Gece’s dreams are interrupted when she moves to Foça to support her special-needs sister, putting her own future on hold. In this coastal town, she meets Özgür, a sailing instructor caring for his brother with Asperger’s syndrome. Their connection opens Gece’s eyes to responsibility, maturity, and a different kind of emotional honesty. As her relationship with her boyfriend Emir becomes strained, Gece must decide whether to hold on to the life she planned or follow the love and self-discovery that Foça has brought into her world.
